Just Give buttonOATS, Incorporated helps people all over Missouri get to work, doctor appointments, essential shopping, and other places people need to go. As a not-for-profit public transportation system, OATS buses traveled 15,418,331 miles in 2011 to provide service to 87 counties in the Show-Me State.

Founded in 1971 by a group of seniors who saw a need for transportation, especially in rural areas, OATS has grown to be one of the largest and most unique systems of its kind in the country. Besides seniors, OATS now serves a wide variety of clientele.

There are 36,659 people in Missouri who utilize the services of OATS. This year, 1,602,626 one-way trips were provided with a fleet of over 800 vehicles and a staff of around 730.

The mission of OATS, Inc. is to provide reliable transportation for transportation disadvantaged Missourians so they can live independently in their own communities.

OATS, Inc. hosted a conversation with Senator Roy Blunt at their Columbia office, Wednesday, May 2, 2012. OATS drivers, volunteers and riders from counties throughout the region were in attendance. Senator Blunt discussed issues of gas prices and the effect they have on OATS, as well as the overall economy.

Northeast Driver Celebrates 30 Years with OATS, Inc.
