OATS, Inc. Celebrates Southwest Regional Coordinator for 30 Years of Service

January 26, 2009

It was January 19, 1979 when Diane Floyd graduated from school and went to the employment office in search of a job. After an administrative test, they sent her to OATS, Inc. for an interview, where she is still employed today.

Diane says the best thing about her employment with OATS is knowing that what she does makes a difference in people’s lives. “I’m earning my living by helping others get to the places they need to go. Seems like a perfect combination.”Diane Floyd

At the OATS office, Diane specializes in contract services, preparing all reports and monthly billings for those organizations that contract with OATS, Inc. for transportation services. She works with agencies like St. John’s Hospital, the Springfield Sheltered Workshop and various nursing homes. Because of OATS, these contractors are able to provide a better quality of life to their clients. Whether it’s transporting customers to their facilities, or simply taking a group from a nursing home to lunch, the OATS buses make a big difference.

Scott Kosky, Southwest Regional Director for OATS says, “Diane is a trusted, valued employee who is able to handle just about anything that comes through our office. She has a great rapport with our contract clients, and is able to prioritize and really get things done.”

Diane has two grandchildren whom she visits with on weekends whenever possible. In her spare time, she enjoys tinkering with computers while learning anything and everything about how they operate. When asked what she would tell someone who was considering a position with OATS, Diane replied, “It is a very good place to work. I’ve enjoyed it for many years.”
