OATS, Inc. Celebrates St. Clair County Driver for 15 Years of Service
July 16, 2009
Rosalie Wuthnow began driving an OATS bus for St. Clair County on July 13th, 1994. For fifteen years, Rosalie has enjoyed helping the OATS riders get to doctor appointments, work and shopping needs.
Rosalie’s experience with OATS began when a fellow churchgoer and OATS driver mentioned that OATS needed help. Rosalie had recently retired after 16 years with Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, where she worked in the girl’s Physical Education department. Upon her friend’s suggestion, she decided to apply to OATS and was hired. When asked about driving for OATS these past 15 years, Rosalie says she really appreciates the people she meets and the ability to help them get where they need to go.
Rosalie moved to Missouri from Abilene, Kansas. She and her husband, Wyeth – who passed away four years ago – were married 53 years and raised four children. Rosalie is unable to see her children as much as she would like, but enjoys time with them and her nine grandchildren when she gets the chance. In her free time, she attends many church activities, and even founded a small church in Twin Oaks, Missouri. She also enjoys housework and handwork.
“OATS has been a good company to work for,” says Rosalie. “They are always willing to help their employees and riders in any way that they can.”
Janis Laster, Regional Coordinator for the Sedalia office says “We get many compliments on Rosalie. She is a sweet person, who will go out of her way to help people; she is a good driver and a great asset to our company.”
