OATS, Inc. will be holding their fifth annual golf tournament on August 9, 2010 at Columbia Country Club in Columbia. The event, a four-person scramble, will raise funds to help OATS replace worn vehicles that provide transportation services to Mid-Missourians in need.
OATS, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit transportation provider serving 87 counties in Missouri with a fleet of over 650 vehicles. In Mid-Missouri, 15 counties are served by
OATS who takes customers to doctor appointments and essential shopping, helping thousands of people in our community maintain their independence. For each vehicle OATS acquires, $8,400 must be provided by them in match funds.
Registration for the tournament will begin at 8:00 a.m. with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start. The entry fee is $300 per team and includes green fees, cart, range balls and lunch. There will be a hole-in-one contest with a prize of $10,000, as well as contests for longest drive, longest putt, closet to the pin and other door prizes.
This year’s event is sponsored by Boone County National Bank, Tran Systems and Custom Muffler. Hole sponsorships are available for $150, and door prize donations are welcomed.
