Linda has been an integral part of OATS since August 1978 when she began working as Operations Director, supervising the Regional Directors in OATS’ seven service regions. When the Executive Director’s position became vacant in 1994, the OATS, Inc. Board of Directors appointed her to fill the position to take advantage of her, by then, nearly 20 years of experience in the field. Linda is a member of the Board of Directors of the Missouri Public Transit Association (was president for three years); a member of the Community Transportation Association of America Board of Directors; former chair of the Rural Transit Assistance Program Review Board, a national program which provides technical assistance to rural transit providers; and is also a Certified Community Transit Manager (CCTM) which is a national certification program for transit professionals. This activity in transit at both the state and national level has served OATS well, making it one of the most recognized community transit systems in the nation.
