New Bagnell Dam Strip Express at Lake Ozark

The Strip Express Bus

New transportation service has begun at the Lake of the Ozarks area in month. OATS Transit has added yet another route to the booming, bustling Lake area. The new service, called the Bagnell Dam Strip Express, offers extended night and weekend hours to help with tourism and development in the area. The expansion comes just a couple of months after the company announced the new Tri-County deviated route that also started July 1st covering Camden, Miller and Morgan counties.

“The Bagnell Dam Strip Express was the brainchild of Gerry Murawski and Dennis Klautzer, who sited safety concerns and lack of parking along the Bagnell Dam Strip”, said OATS Transit Regional Director Jack Heusted. “We are thankful to the local business owners who came together to financially support this new service”, added Heusted. Murawski is the Third Ward Alderman of Lake Ozark and Klautzer is co-owner of KRMS Radio. Financial support for this service comes from OATS Transit, federal funds from the Missouri Department of Transportation, rider fares and local businesses.

Hours of operation include Sunday thru Wednesday 12-6 p.m., and Thursday, Friday and Saturday noon to 2am. The fare to ride is just $1 per ride. Various Pick-up and drop-off locations are located throughout the Bagnell Dam Strip. You can also find this on our website at www.oatstransit.org for details.
