Central Bank of Sedalia Donates

OATS Transit is pleased to be a recipient of a $1,000 donation from the Central Bank of Sedalia through the Department of Economic Development’s Neighborhood Assistance Program. This donation will be used as part of the 20% local match required by the Federal Transit Administration’s grant program for the purchase of a new bus. The bus is being used for transportation to work by employees going to Tyson Foods and other local businesses.
“It is great to work for a company that supports the local community where we live and work; an organization where the decisions to give back to the local community are easily reached,” said Larry Bahr, Chairman, President and CEO of Central Bank of Sedalia.
According to Tracy Walkup, OATS Transit Regional Director, local partners are valuable to our agency. “In a time of rising costs for vehicles and general operating, local partners such as Central Bank of Sedalia are very important. Together, we can serve the entire community,” Walkup said.
OATS Transit is available to anyone, regardless of age, income, disability, race, gender, religion or national origin. The company specializes in rural general public transportation as well as serving individuals with disabilities and senior citizens, plus offers contract service to more than 150 agencies statewide. OATS Transit is the largest and most unique system of its kind in the country.
