Listed below is the transportation schedule for Barry County.

Fares are at the bottom of the page.

Cassville Area:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday  (9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.)

Cassville trips may be scheduled by phone or using OATS Transit mobile app, including same day trips, subject to available capacity.

 

Monett Area:

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday  (9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.)

Monett trips may be scheduled by phone or using OATS Transit mobile app, including same day trips, subject to available capacity.

 

Shell Knob Area:  Tuesdays and Thursdays (4th Thursday to Cassville)  

 

To Springfield:  1st Monday of each month

To Joplin:   2nd Monday of each month

 

To Rogers:  3rd Monday of each month

 

To Monett from:

  • Cassville, Exeter, Purdy, Western Barry, Rural Monett:   3rd & 4th Tuesday each month 

  • Barry County:   1st Friday each month 

 

To Cassville from:                            

  • Monett & Purdy: 1st & 2nd Tuesday each month

  • Seligman, Washburn, Exeter:   1st, 2nd & 4th Thursday each month

InterCity Service to Springfield

Long distance transportation is also available from Barry County to Springfield, including Springfield-Branson Regional Airport, Greyhound Bus and City Utilities Bus Depots, via the Intercity bus every Wednesday each month. Trips must be scheduled 48 hours in advance by calling the OATS Transit Office at 1-800-770-6287.

  • In-town Springfield: $2.00

  • In-town rural communities: $2.00

  • In-county: $3.00

  • Adjacent County: $4.00

  • Long-Distance (three counties or more): $6.00

  • Each additional en-route stop: $1.00

Barry County transportation service funded in part by SeniorAge Area Agency on Aging and the Barry County Senior Citizens' Services Fund Board.  

 

Seniors aged 60+ and individuals with disabilities riding under the AAA contract do not have a set fare but are asked to contribute a minimum amount for their rides. OATS Transit will provide contact information for riders to contribute directly to the applicable AAA.  Capacity on any scheduled route is limited.

Drivers do not accept payment from riders on the bus. Riders can add funds to their account before riding and each time they ride the fare will be withdrawn.  When calling to add funds to your account a minimum amount of $10.00 is required. You can send a personal check, money order, or cashier’s check to the OATS Transit office if you do not want to pay by credit/debit card.
