Johnson County 

OATS Transit is available to anyone regardless of age, income,

disability, race, gender, religion, or national origin. 

To schedule a trip in Johnson County, call 660-827-2611 or 800-276-6287. 

Calls must be made at least 48 hours in advance; 24 hours in advance for Senior Center Service.

Listed below is the transportation schedule for Johnson County.

To Warrensburg: 

  • 1st, 3rd, and 4th Monday each month

 

To Kansas City Area:

  • 2nd Monday of each month

 

Express to Sedalia, Warsaw, or Clinton: 

  • Odd numbered Wednesdays

Express to Holden, Harrisonville, Belton, or Kansas City Area: 

  • Even numbered Wednesdays

 

To Holden Senior Center From Holden:

  • Tuesday-Friday: 10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

 

Warrensburg in-town: 

  • Senior Center: Monday-Friday: 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

  • Shopping on Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday only

Head Start Knob Noster:

  • Monday-Thursday: 5 hours a day

​

Head Start Warrensburg:

  • Monday-Thursday: 5 hours a day

Warrensburg City Service: Old Drum Deviated Fixed Route:

  • Passengers can request to be picked up and dropped off up to ¾ of a mile off the bus route. The pickup and drop-off locations will be at the curb. Reservations must be made a day in advance by calling the OATS Transit Office at 660-827-2611. Stops are made each hour.

  • Monday - Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

  • $1.50 per person/per ride

Times may vary. The hourly schedule shows the minutes (:xx) after each hour the bus is scheduled to be at each stop during the hours of service above.

 

Fares (One-Way):

  • $2.50 for in-town riders

  • $5.00 for county service

The fare charges only apply to Senior Center Buses and Area Wide Buses. Seniors aged 60+ and individuals with disabilities riding under the AAA contract do not have a set fare but are asked to contribute a minimum amount for their rides.

* Drivers no longer accept payment from riders on the bus. Riders can add funds to their account before riding and each time they ride the fare will be withdrawn.  When calling to add funds to your account a minimum amount of $10.00 is required. You can send a personal check, money order, or cashier’s check to the OATS Transit office if you do not want to pay by credit/debit card.
