Lawrence County 

OATS Transit is available to anyone regardless of age, income, disability, race, gender, religion, or national origin.

Listed below is the transportation schedule for Lawrence County. Fares are listed at the bottom of the page.

To Monett: 

  • 1st, 2nd, and 4th Tuesdays each month

 

To Mt. Vernon: 

  • 2nd Thursday of each month

 

To Mt. Vernon and Miller: 

  • 3rd Tuesday of each month

​

To Aurora: 

  • 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month

 

To Monett: from Verona, Pierce City & Freistatt

  • Wednesday and Friday (8 a.m. - 2 p.m.)

Marionville/Aurora Area:

  • Monday-Friday      

​

Mt. Vernon Area: 

  • Monday and Friday

​​

Miller Area:

  • Wednesday and Thursday

​​

Pierce City Area:

  • Tuesday and Thursday                                          

 

Lawrence County Employment Transportation:

  • Monday-Friday

                                                 

Long distance  transportation is also available from Lawrence County to Springfield, including the Springfield-Branson Regional Airport, Greyhound Bus and City Utilities Bus Depot via the Intercity Express on every Wednesday each month. Trips must be scheduled 48 hours in advance by calling the OATS Transit Office at 1-800-770-6287.

Fares (one way):

  • In-town Springfield: $2.00 

  • In-town rural communities: $2.00

  • In-county: $3.00

  • Adjacent County: $4.00

  • Long-Distance (three counties or more): $6.00

  • Each additional en route stop: $1.00

*Drivers no longer accept payment from riders on the bus. Riders can add funds to their account before riding and each time they ride the fare will be withdrawn.  When calling to add funds to your account a minimum amount of $10.00 is required. You can send a personal check, money order, or cashier’s check to the OATS Transit office if you do not want to pay by credit/debit card.

Seniors age 60+ and individuals with disabilities riding under AAA contract do not have a set fare, but are asked to contribute a minimum amount for their rides. OATS Transit will provide contact information for riders to contribute directly to the applicable AAA. 

​

Space on any scheduled route is limited depending on passenger load, location, trip purpose, and funding. Priority may be give for scheduled doctor appointments and dialysis.
