This is the website for OATS, Incorporated, a public transportation system serving 87 counties in the Show-Me State the great State of Missouri.
Founded in 1971 by a group of seniors who saw a need for transportation, especially in rural areas, OATS has grown to be one of the largest and most unique systems of its kind in the country.OATS serves nearly 30,000 people in Missouri. Last year, we provided 1,461,988 one-way trips with a fleet of over 625 vehicles and a staff of 600.

(Shelbina, Missouri, May 2, 2008) – Randolph County OATS driver, Rebecca Coffman, began her career with OATS, Inc. on April 21, 1983. Twenty-five years later, Rebecca is still a blessing for the riders she serves.
OATS, Inc. Celebrates Warren County Drivers for 15 years of Service

(Shelbina, Missouri, May 1, 2008) – Warren County OATS drivers, Richard Byler and William Cawley, began their careers with OATS on the very same day: May 19, 1993. At that time, the two friends had no idea the other had applied to work for OATS. Fifteen years later, both Bill and Richard say they have enjoyed every minute of their service, and look forward to many more years.
OATS, Inc. Celebrates National Volunteers Week

OATS, Inc recognizes more than a thousand volunteers by taking part in National Volunteer Week 2008, April 23 to May 3. National Volunteer Week was created in 1974, when President Richard Nixon signed an executive order to establish the week as an annual celebration of volunteering. Every year since each U.S. President, along with many governors, mayors and other elected officials, has signed a proclamation promoting National Volunteer Week.
