Lewis County 

OATS Transit is available to anyone regardless of age, income, disability, race, gender, religion, or national origin. 

To schedule a ride in Lewis County call the OATS Transit office at 660-415-0901 or 800-654-6287.

Calls can be made Monday – Friday from 7:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. for same day and next day reservations; all other reservations between the hours of 7:00 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Fares (one-way):

  • $2.00 for in-town riders

  • $3.00 for county service

  • $4.00 going to an adjacent county 

  • $10.00 round trip (or $6 one-way) for long distance travel

  • $1.00 fee for each en-route stop

Seniors 60+ and Individuals with disabilities 18-59 riding under the AAA contract do not have a set fare but are asked to contribute a minimum amount for their rides.

Canton/Canton in town: 1st Wednesday after the first Tuesday & 3rd Friday every other month (Feb, Apr, June, etc.)*

Quincy: Tuesdays

Kirksville: 1st Thursday every other month (Feb, Apr, June, etc.) & 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th Thursdays each month
