OATS Transit receives grant from Cuivre River Electric Community Trust

OATS Transit received a grant from Cuivre River Electric Community Trust Operation Round Up program totaling $2,000.

These funds will be used toward the local match on a new bus for Lincoln County, MO. OATS Transit provides transportation for work, medical appointments, essential shopping, nutrition and other needs to individuals with disabilities, seniors, and rural residents of any age throughout Lincoln County.

The donation from the Trust is possible because of the generosity of Cuivre River Electric’s membership.

“OATS Transit provides a much needed service in our communities and we’re glad we can support the great work that they do,” said Tim Schmidt, who coordinates the Operation Round Up Program for Cuivre River Electric Cooperative. “We’re thankful for the generosity of our members who participate in our Operation Round Up program, which allows us to support a wide array of community organizations.”

Lincoln County residents wanting to schedule a ride for transportation in Northeast Missouri should call the OATS Transit office at 800-654-6287.
