(St. Louis, MO May 19, 2026) At its May board meeting, the Productive Living Board of St. Louis County (PLB) approved funding of $1.9 million investment in OATS Transit’s transportation program. More than 180 riders in St. Louis County use OATS Transit to get to work at sheltered workshops, or to various group activities. PLB also provides bus match dollars as needed, which helps our organization purchase new buses.
In FY27, PLB approved $31,787,562 in total community investments supporting more than 4,600 individuals and families across St. Louis County. These publicly funded services help residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) live more independently and participate fully in their communities.
PLB is one of about 85 senate bill 40 boards in the state which are funded by tax levies within the county. The Productive Living Board ensures funding for a spectrum of high-quality services that create opportunities for St. Louis County residents with developmental disabilities. It is through our partnership with PLB that we ensure their clients get to work and out in the community. Learn more at plbboard.com
