(Columbia, Missouri, June 12, 2025) – OATS Transit, a Missouri based not-for-profit transportation provider, is pleased to announce it has received a $9,800 grant from the Boone County Community Trust.

The Boone County Community Trust Board of Directors met in May and selected OATS Transit as one of the organizations to receive a grant.  These funds will help with the purchase of a new wheelchair accessible vehicle that will be used for Boone County transportation.

OATS Transit has been providing transportation since 1971 in the Boone County area. The company provides rides to those in need of transportation to medical appointments, essential shopping, employment and other community resources to rural residents of any age. “We sincerely appreciate the Boone County Community Trust for their steadfast dedication to community service and support.  Their commitment to our service enables us to help local people reach needed community resources” said Michael Burbank, Mid-Missouri Regional Director. These funds are important local match dollars that enable us to purchase new vehicles.
