Getting around town just got easier thanks to on-demand rides in OATS Transit’s new 2022 Toyota Sienna. Toyota donated the wheelchair-accessible minivan to improve mobility options throughout Troy.
“This new van will allow OATS Transit to have more in-town, same-day service in the city, helping people connect to community and access critical services,” said Wes Woods, president of Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Missouri. “For Toyota, this is what mobility is all about.”
Rides are available to anyone in need – from a trip to a doctor’s appointment to a grocery run or a job interview.
“Being able to enhance the lives of our riders by providing safe, caring and reliable transportation is at the core of our organization,” said Dorothy Yeager, executive director for OATS Transit. “We share this same purpose with Toyota and look forward to helping more people in the community get to where they want to and need to go.”
The new van will go into service January 23, 2023, and interested riders can schedule trips by calling OATS Transit at 660-415-0901 or 800-654-6287.
“The City of Troy is grateful for the opportunities this expanded service provides to our residents, and we appreciate the support OATS Transit and Toyota provide to our community,” said Mayor Ron Sconce.
