(Columbia, Missouri, April 10, 2023) – OATS Transit, a Missouri based not-for-profit transportation provider, announced that it has received a grant from Three Rivers Helping Hands Community Foundation totaling $4,500.
These funds will be used toward the cost of providing rides within the Three Rivers service areas in Cole, Franklin, Gasconade, Miller and Moniteau Counties in Missouri. Since 1971, OATS Transit has provided transportation for work, medical appointments, essential shopping, and other community resources to rural residents of any age, individuals with disabilities and seniors.
“Our Foundation’s board of trustees are pleased to be able to help OATS Transit continue to provide transportation to residents in the Three Rivers Electric Cooperative service area,” said Vicki Lange, Foundation Coordinator. The Foundation is funded by the Change For Life program.
“Three Rivers Helping Hands Community Foundation has been very supportive of our program over the years,” said Dorothy Yeager, OATS Transit Executive Director. “We are grateful that the Three Rivers Helping Hands Community Foundation is able to help us with the local match needed to provide rides in their service area,” added Yeager.
